When does a new day start?
Chores, the price board, requests, X marks and money rocks change at 00:00 UTC (09:00 in Korea); the weekly goal turns over at 00:00 UTC on Monday. Day and night in a village follow its own longitude.
Does hunger drop while I'm away?
Yes, 8 points an hour by the clock, so a full stomach reaches exhaustion (10) in about 11 hours. At 70 or more you move 10% faster, at 30 or less you can't run, and exhausted you walk at 55% and can't gather, fish or cook. With no food and no money, you can get emergency food.
Why is a key locked?
It belongs to a later stage, and the message says which. First Day asks for 3 tree shakes and 1 sale, then opens the Encyclopedia, camera, album and map. Press , (comma) for the current goals and what opens next.
Can I visit other players' villages?
Yes, by boat, plane or on foot. In person you can leave one guestbook note of up to 120 characters per village, and the Travel passport stamps a place only when you arrive; globe previews and flyovers don't count.
